Sports injury

Sports injury treatment at the Victoria Clinic

Our multi-disciplinary team of therapists can help with a range of specific conditions that may arise from sports injury.

Common problems we see in our clinic:

  • Joint pains

  • General aches and pains, including those of the joints, muscle spasms and cramp

  • Cervicogenic headache

  • Some shoulder complaints such as Rotator cuff injury

  • Ankle sprains and plantar fasciitis

  • Elbow pain and tennis elbow arising from associated musculoskeletal conditions of the back and neck

With our multidisciplinary team, we view sports injury as an opportunity to also work on other aspects of performance such as general athleticism and robustness as well as the individual specifics such as injury-risk profile, physical capabilities, etc. Our chiropractors work closely with our sports masseurs and personal trainers.

Once we have assessed your condition we will discuss your treatment plan and options. If we feel that we cannot help you, then we will refer you back to your GP or other healthcare professionals.

A typical rehab programme will contain a series of progressions geared to the sports specific needs of the patient.
