WHAT WE DO

Process
After a review of your health history, a thorough examination will be performed. This includes a detailed postural assessment, because “posture is the window to the spine”. If posture is out of balance, then the spine is out of balance, putting unhealthy pressure upon the nervous system.

Good posture equals good health.

A computerised nerve and muscle scan is performed to determine the state of the nervous system.

Subluxation station

SECOND GENERATION SUBLUXATION STATION
Our state-of-the-art technology will objectively help us:

  • DETECT AREAS OF NERVE DISTURBANCE
  • DOCUMENT AND MONITOR YOUR RESULTS
  • DELIVER THE APPROPRIATE CHIROPRACTIC CARE

A computerised nerve and muscle scan is performed to determine the state of the nervous system.

Our purpose for administering this scan is to detect and pinpoint abnormal function in the spine which cannot be seen on X-ray. Abnormal spinal function causes abnormal Nervous System disturbance.

The three standard tests will measure:

  • SEMG - the amount of electrical current in the muscles.
  • Thermography - skin temperature along the spine.
  • Inclinometry - range of movement of the spine.
SEMG spine analysis green bars: mild
blue bars: moderate
red bars: severe

Adjustment

Treating a patientA Chiropractic adjustment is the use of a specific force in a precise direction that helps normalise spinal function.

Every Chiropractic adjustment is tailored to each patient. There are many different types of adjustment that can be used, ranging form a very low force high speed, up to a higher degree of force. The type used varies from patient to patient.

The adjustment helps to return the bones to a more normal position or motion, relieving pain and ill health. Restoring motion to the spine helps to reduce spinal degeneration.

A schedule of adjustments is discussed with a patient before treatment begins.

When nervous system function improves in this way, the body can begin the natural healing process.

A continuing schedule of regular Chiropractic checkups and adjustments will maintain spine and nervous system function throughout life.

Subluxation

Subluxation?
Subluxation is a problem in the spine where an abnormal position or movement of any of the 24 vertebrae disturbs the communication between the brain and the nervous system causing disturbance in the body. When subluxation happens it is not always immediately obvious and your good health can decline whether or not symptoms are present. Unfortunately, it is usually only when there is a major trauma to the spine that people seek the help of a chiropractor; yet many common conditions like asthma, menstrual pains, headaches, ear infections, colic and ADHD can be treated and prevented by regular chiropractic treatment.
